Growing up, I always had frizzy hair that dried somewhere in between straight and wavy; it was awkward. In high school I learned what a flat iron was and it quickly became my best friend. Soon after that I began dying my hair. Next thing I knew my natural hair resembled something of a lion mane, that’s how frizzy it had become. I never thought that I’d ever be able to tame my messy fly-aways, but my life changed after using these 3 products.

That must sound dramatic, but I’m not exaggerating. For the last year my hair has dried entirely straight with bounce at the ends. Now the only time I even touch any hot hair tools is when I want to add some curls. I’m sure you can guess how much time that saves me each morning when I’m getting ready. It’s amazing and I would’ve been using these products much sooner if I knew I’d achieve these results.

How I tamed my frizzy hair using 3 products - paul mitchell lavender conditioner, it's a 10 leave in spray, and the wet brush

Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint Conditioner

This herbal moisturizing conditioner not only hydrates your hair, but it also detangles and softens it too! Lavender in general is known to be ultra soothing, so lathering your frizzy hair with it works wonders. I saw immediate results after using it ONE time! Oh, and did I mention how amazing it smells?!

It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Conditioner

I originally received this leave-in conditioner as a free gift at Ulta and am beyond thankful for it. The origin behind this brand is that each product instantly does 10 things, and this spray did not disappoint. It maintains straightening treatments (which I’ve never had but I feel that it’s helped straighten my hair), assists in manageability, replaces lost protein, protects against heat, restores hydration, seals cuticles, strengthens, detangles, defrizzes, and adds shine. Seriously, what more could you ask for? The price is a bit steep but you won’t regret it after you run your fingers through your silky hair!

Wet Brush

This brush was designed to easily glide through your wet hair; it detangles while avoiding breakage. I haven’t encountered any painful knots in the past two years with this hairbrush and seriously can’t imagine my routine without it. Since using this after every hair wash, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the amount of fly-away’s I have, which is the best part. I found my brush at Target; there are so many sizes and colors to choose from!

How I tamed my frizzy hair using 3 products - what my hair looked like before & after

If you have issues with frizzy hair or fly-aways, it’s absolutely worth it to invest in these 3 products. I additionally do a hair masque once a week and regularly get my hair cut to maintain it’s overall health. Even if you don’t have issues with frizzy hair, as the weather continues to get colder remember to keep your locks moisturized!
